CORFO Energy Efficiency Loan Programme
Policy measure

The Production Development Corporation (CORFO) Energy Efficiency Loan Programme went into effect in 2008, offering loans to finance investments of up to UF 25,000 and thereby making it possible for firms to invest in projects necessary for improving energy use. The loans are available for firms in a wide range of sectors, including industry, agriculture, mining, fishing, etc. (ECLAC, 2010).

Implementation

According to ECLAC (2010), firms, cooperatives or production associations with annual sales of up to UF 1 million, not counting value-added tax, are eligible applicants.
