FINDETER (Financiera de Desarrollo Territorial)
Policy measure

Funding for energy efficiency projects is supported by the State of Bolivia through both the Ministry of Energy and Mining and the FINDETER (Financiera de Desarrollo Territorial, S.A.), which was established in 1989.

FINDETER is a source for energy efficiency funding in Colombia which mainly supports the energy sector and finances activities related to all types of energy. Its main activity is to fund programmes to manage and reduce losses and pre-investment and investment in all stages of the project cycle up to marketing, including co-generation and self-generation (ECLAC, 2010).

Implementation

According to EEAF (2010), FINDETER, on the one hand, finances loss management and reduction programmes and pre-investment and investment in all stages of the project cycle until commercialization (including co-generation and self-generation), on the other.
